Is the rough price range a quote?
No. It is a ballpark from typical Madison-area jobs, and it is wide on purpose, often more than three times from the low end to the high. The real number is decided by things a form cannot see: how much of the old coating has to come off, what the wood underneath is doing, and how many coats the color change really needs. A free walkthrough sets the price, and the number we give you in writing is the number you pay.
Why is the range so wide?
Because two houses that look the same on a form can be thousands of dollars apart once someone stands in them. Condition and preparation move a painting price more than square footage does, and neither can be judged from a screen.
